Purpose and goal
The project has investigated the interest in a test bed in wastewater management and flushability. An initial plan and cost estimate for the test bed has been made. Relevant stakeholders have been contacted and informed of the present test bed.
Results and expected effects
The expected result was to create a fertile ground to continue working on the test bed. The project shows that it is entirely possible to build such a test bed and flushable products may increase in the future, product and material patents in flushability shows that patenting activity per year has increased by 400% since the late 1990s.
Approach and implementation
To map the area an extensive literature study was done first. The companies and organizations that fit into the area were contacted for further discussions. The design of the test bed has been thoroughly analyzed. During the project, a number of options for property close sewage and waste management have been followed up.
