Important results from the project
The development of the electric power distribution with the expansion of digital networks IEC 61850, the industry faces new challenges. The aim of the project was to create a secure solution for the new technology to facilitate the test process and minimize the risk of errors. The project´s objective has been to develop a portable product, GridEx, with built-in application knowledge able to interpret large amounts of data and present the status clearly and logically to the user. Goals have been reached in all areas.
Expected long term effects
By prototypes and field tests the solution has been refined and evaluated with very good results. GridEx has now been validated. The effect of using is that errors and warnings are visualized clearly and proposed solutions are presented. This minimizes the risk of errors in the electric power distribution.
Approach and implementation
GridEx has been developed in collaboration between internal resources, KTH and consultants. Application knowledge comes primarily from internal resources. Production of the devices will be in Sweden. Field tests have been conducted with and at customer sites.
