Purpose and goal

The project has developed and established an open and independent testbed, where companies in cooperation with both public and private healthcare providers can develop, test, and securely introduce new and innovative IT services. The project has progressed under the trademark of Nordic Medtest which during the project period has made essential footprints as a reliable partner in Sweden as well as in the other Nordic countries.

Results and expected effects

The main goal of establishing an open and independent testbed, where companies in cooperation with both public and private healthcare providers can develop, test, and securely introduce new and innovative IT services is fulfilled beyond expectations. First day after ending the project we have established an organization that provides test services to the healthcare sector with 30 full time employees.

Approach and implementation

The successful implementation is mainly a result of a result of a number decisions and activities in the early phase of the project. -Analyzing of the conditions of security and infrastructure -Holistic view of models and environments for national e-services -Early recruitment of key competence -Analyzed process for professional sale towards customers -Strategic use of subcontractors -Focus on solutions for cost monitoring and resource utilization -Constructing an operational management system -A well anchored steering committee on a national basis
