Purpose and goal

This project has consisted of two subprojects: - Prize for young researchers in the area of Cancer in children - The project ´Turning science into practice´ for advanced life science. concretely realized as a workshop in Strasbourg in March, 2015, with participants from major innovation clusters in Sweden and France.

Results and expected effects

Both subprojects were realized according to plan. The Prize for young researchers obtained substantial attention and interest. The workshop for innovation clusters has resulted in continued contacts between the participating groups.

Approach and implementation

The Prize for young researchers was organized in the standard way, with an advertisement of the prize disseminated to all major research groups in the area, an evaluation of applications by a committee of leading scientists in the area, and an official prize award ceremony combined with a scientific workshop for the presentation of results. The workshop for innovation clusters was organized in the framework of a larger, European conference on actions for the facilitation of innovation.
