Purpose and goal

The purpose of the agenda to mobilize actors in the early stages of urban development for a co-financing of innovation has largely been achieved by focusing on the operators already active and engaged in innovation. The project team believes that the activity that is already on about 20 million / year very well could be increased to a co-financing of 70 million / year in the form of own innovation project considering stakeholders turnover and a clear trend in recent years among consulting firms to increase their turnover in FOI.

Results and expected effects

The expected impact of the Habitat Agenda is a developed skill among municipalities, developers, architects and others involved in the early stages of urban development to lead and coordinate integrative processes that create long-term societal values, both for citizens, businesses and the ecosystem. It is about connecting citizens´ influence and the expert knowledge of market conditions and the municipal policy for sustainable living and housing.

Approach and implementation

The large number of people who participated in the work has been costly to manage. But the concept to invite everyone interested to open breakfast information meetings about the agenda combined with in-depth roundtable discussions for specially invited has given much energy. That they were held in different parts of the country have given a greater perspective on the Agenda and strengthened the national relevance. It has also led to a lot of knowledge about what goes on in the regions and become the introduction to conversations between operators in different parts of the country.
