Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to verify three markets for our polymer adhesive platform: Biosticker (for rapid and cost effective multiplexing microarrays), smart packaging of microsystems using plastic components with built-it glue, and as a multipurpose adhesion primer for difficult substrates. After completed project we have verified a sizeable business potential and have both paying and prospective customers for the packaging and primer products.
Expected long term effects
We have verified the need for our technology in the different applications, the willingness to pay for our solution, the market size and also verified a workable business model for two of the products. We have also added a team member with valuable industrial experience in industrial production and sales.
Approach and implementation
The project has been conducted in three phases. Going from technological development of demonstrators to test with key potential customers and finally to sales phase were the value proposition has been further modified to fit the market.
