Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to improve well-being of MS patients by providing them with a tool for stress measurement and management as MS patients are highly affected by elevated stress levels and today they do not have a tool to monitor them. The goal of the BIO-X project was to develop a prototype and reach a commercialization stage for such stress management solution including preparation for a full scale clinical trial which is the level the project have reached a readiness to conduct.

Expected results and effects

Expected effect is an improved well-being of the patients based on subjective and as well as objective measurements. Results will include technical verification of the system, a preparation for commercialization of the product and feasibility study with patients. The project has achieved the result of a prototype, but has still to capture patient data and its result in wait for approved start date from MPA and the do the fulfillment of the study.

Planned approach and implementation

Biosync Technology AB has acted as a project coordinator for all work packages, project participants have delivered most of the activities and rest have been outsourced. Feasibility study is delayed but activities will be conducted in MS Outpatient Hospital, KS. The cooperation, commitment and effort of all participants in the project have been very good. Outside factors that e.g. approval from the Swedish Medical Products Agency has pulled out the project in time.
