Reference number
Coordinator Lunds universitet - Ekonomisk-historiska institutionen
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration September 2014 - March 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose was to investigate the possibilities of broadening the innovation database SWINNO. We have managed to reach conclusions of how this should be done together with VINNOVA (Marklund et al). We started the work of creating a relational database which will be more user-friendly and available to the public. Methodological rigor and transparency will be even more clear within SWINNO 2.0 and manuals will be written that can be used for comparative international European projects.

Results and expected effects

The result of the project is that we after some extensive plans and exploring the consequences of these, have landed in mainly sticking within the framework of LBIO (Literature Based Innovation Output), of theoretical, but also practical reasons. Additions from other sources will be possible to make but it will then be obvious in the database that the sources are different.

Approach and implementation

We spent considerable amounts of time during the atutum to do time studies and document what different kinds of journal reading gave in terms of innovation counts. We also started the work of creating a relational database for the innovations that will be more user-friendly and also simplify the work of updating the database.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
