Call Development projects in incubators – 2017-2019

Purpose and goal

The overall goal of the project was for Sweden´s incubator companies to become more competitive by integrating sustainability into their companies. In the project, a tool has been developed to integrate sustainability into incubator companies. The tool has been shared with over 30 incubators and science parks through three digital training sessions. The tool has been tested on several incubator companies and the outcome has been very positive. The incubator companies have identified new business opportunities and gained new knowledge.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in a concrete tool in both swedish and english for integrating sustainability into incubator companies. The tool contains a relevance, a materiality, and a gap analysis as well as discussion material for development and business opportunities and concrete activities. Furthermore, the tool contains a template for a sustainability strategy and a sustainability readiness index as well as a detailed user manual. The tool creates a good opportunity to integrate sustainability in incubator companies and provides support in incubators´ sustainability work.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has followed the project plan in general, but has of course also been affected by the situation with Corona. The training sessions were conducted digitally instead of physically. For this reason, a digital tool has also been developed and is now available in both Swedish and English.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
