Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project has been to conduct innovation work with Innoscentia´s sensor technology. Possible product line has been smart labels and printed sensors which can replace or complement the best-before-date. The main deliverables with the project have been to: develop market contacts, a sustainable business model, a verified product concept for the sensor technology and verified production methods and production and development of IP.

Expected results and effects

The innovation work has resulted in a number of letter of intents with national and international actors through out the value chain for packages and food. Some of the agreements have included co-financing of the innovation work. Innoscentia has also during the project received traction for external financing, which have been increasing during the project. Finally has the innovation work resulted in a number of business model hypothesis, verified and new product concepts and for industrial implementation relevant production methods.

Planned approach and implementation

The Project´s innovation work has been divided into one research part and one development part. The research part has focused on minimizing for the market relevant innovation risks with the technology such as printability and sensitivity of the sensor. The part of the team working with development have been working business modelling and innovation demand with the final product concepts. Consequently, has the innovation work been conducted after the market´s problem and need. The project has let the market actors define possibilities and demands from what the technology can do.
