Scalable and heterogeneous infrastructure for future information and communication technologies

Purpose and goal

Due to the exponential growth in data traffic and usage, the Swedish telecommunications industry ´golden egg´: cellular systems, is facing major challenges in terms of traditional telecommunications technology but especially in terms of finding new, interdisciplinary and cross-sector solutions. What is needed is a meeting place for different disciplines to work on developing cost-effective telecommunications solutions. The initial goal of this work has been to develop a proposal for such an agenda and consequently also to develop a ´SIO´ to support this vision to come true.

Results and expected effects

Both an agenda and a proposal for a ICT SIO has been developed and submitted to Vinnova
