Purpose and goal
The objective was to create innovative solutions to meet the changing needs for work experience. The methods vary depending on the target group involved in the placement process; student, school, workplace, and the internal organization at GR coordinating work placements. The overall objective was to create a scalable concept for a smart training process. The focus has been on examining today´s challenges from several perspectives. The project has created an efficient, creative and digital placement process from target groups´ needs, something that has not been offered before.
Results and expected effects
The SAMSAS Phase 2 project has resulted in a web-based process support for the school and a digital game for the student performing work practice. By using digital material, the number of schools, students and workplaces affected is significantly higher compared to using analogue material. We have already seen during the project period that it was easier to recruit new work placements (both private and public) by being able to offer this support. Working with the various needs of the target groups and finding a good match in the services on offer has led to professional development at GR.
Approach and implementation
The project GR has been in dialogue with businesses , students, teachers, principals and guidance counselors. The dialogue has taken place through meetings, visits, workshops, breakfast meetings, and GR´s stand at the exhibition Gymnasiedagarna as well as during training sessions in the IT tool praktikplatsen.se The purpose of the meetings has been to understand and identify the needs of the different target groups, their current situation and expectations. With this as a starting point, analysis was done by the working group, focusing on streamlining the placement process.
