Important results from the project
The aim of SALUTOGEN: To contribute to preventing lifestyle disease by user-centered design of technology supporting seniors’ fall preventive physical activity (FPPA). Goals of SALUTOGEN: 1 Customize SALUTOGEN’s sub-solutions according to seniors to needs of seniors and FPPA 2 Explore the potential of SALUTOGEN’s system solution for users and customers in a study 3 Develop business models and plan for commercialization of SALUTOGEN’s solutions (based on needs and challenges/possibilities). We consider the aim of SALUTOGEN to be reached and the goals to be fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
6 expected results (measured by 10 indicators) were formulated from SALUTOGEN’s 3 goals. Indicators show that expected results are obtained: A study shows that SALUTOGEN’s solution is useful and creates values for seniors and professionals; a plan for commercialization is developed. SALUTOGEN was expected to contribute to 5 effect goals that reflects value creation (new products/services/processes, increased user/customer- involvement in innovation, system change promoting innovation, internationalization). We consider SALUTOGEN to contribute to expected effects.
Approach and implementation
The project has been organized in four work packages: 1 User perspective 2 Technology 3 Future commercialization/implementation 4 Project management The project has been executed in co-operation between four companies (Abilia AB, Livanda-Internetkliniken AB, Real Test AB, and Vital Integration of Scandinavia AB), Västerås Municipality, Region of Västmanland and Mälardalen University (co-ordinator). The project also has a user forum, reference group and Scientific Advisory Board. The project setup has worked well and the work has mainly been executed according to plan.
