Purpose and goal
The goal is to evaluate sensors for storing information integrated into a climate screen, in a laboratory environment as well as in a greenhouse. Two different technologies have been tested in the project. Successful proof-of-concept tests have been performed at Acreo´s lab, in climate cabinet at Swerea IVF and finally in a humidifier and in a small greenhouse at Ludvig Svensson. The sensors are still plugged in and working after 3 months in the greenhouse.
Expected results and effects
The results of the tested systems have been successful. The expectation is now to pass this on to tests in a producing greenhouse where larger sample bodies and more variables are evaluated.
Planned approach and implementation
This project is composed of actors in different sectors with unique and complementary scientific and technological skills, enabling a complete chain recognizing the great potential of the link between climate, information technology, environmental issues and production. Acreo and Swerea IVF have access to well-equipped lab while Ludvig Svensson has production in the same building as RoD. Overall, this has contributed to the fact that the project has come so far and with good results.
