Purpose and goal

The overall aim of the eGovernment research network is to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking between researchers, practitioners and policy makers. Through the network, members can: * Find new cooperation opportunities * Collaboration across scientific disciplines * Disseminate research results and new knowledge * Jointly discuss and illuminate the area of knowledge * Promote the development of knowledge and create synergies Our view is that the network through the activities and website fulfills its purpose and goals.

Results and expected effects

Since the network was initiated, the network has arranged a couple of network meetings every year. A recurring activity is arranged at Offentliga Rummet and additional seminars are held at different locations in Sweden. The geographic variation has proven to be positive, as meetings in southern and northern parts of the country attract different participants.

Approach and implementation

Activities in 2013: How can collaboration between e-government research and policy makers be strengthened?, Fördjupningsdag at Offentliga Rummet, Jönköping Invited speakers from SALAR, government offices and universities discussed the theme. Approximately 20 participants. What future needs and challenges does eGovernment research face? The seminar will be conducted on March 26, 2014 (postponed arrangement from 2013)
