Purpose and goal

The project deliverables in the form of a handful workshops on the topic of the theme of the project together with VINNOVA employees, members of the program committee, and project managers for UDI projects, have already during the course of the project stimulated developing discussions about requirements engineering, leadership, and evaluation of challenge driven research and innovation. The purpose of the written deliverables is to continue to stimulate these discussions in different forums.

Results and expected effects

Based on the empirical material that has been collected during interviews and workshops with project managers of UDI Step 2 projects, the project has produced and conducted a number of workshops for VINNOVA employees, members of the program committee, and project managers of UDI projects. The purpose has been to stimulate developing discussions in the domain of the theme of the project. Based on these workshops some results have been coded in brief texts and a standalone presentation of parts of the results.

Approach and implementation

The project was initiated with an empirical block consisting of data collection via interviews and tailored workshops on the topic of leadership of UDI step 2 projects. An analysis of this material led to three focal areas for the project: (1) leadership in UDI projects, (2) process and method development, and (3) concept development in the context of UDI-projects. The work has been conducted iteratively in between these focal areas, and with further learning processes in the form of workshops with VINNOVA employees and program committee members.
