Important results from the project
The aim to draw attention to innovative organizations as well as sharing experiences to others was achieved both at Kvalitetsmässan with many visitors and with the attention given to the winners of the different awards received in the media. The winners of each award usually invite to field trips and seminars, and are usually invited to other conferences to disseminate their experiences. We have every reason to expect this to happen again.
Expected long term effects
The large number of visitors attending numerous meetings contributed to the wide dissemination of innovation and new thinking. 3 out of 4 participants came away with new knowledge and new ideas useful in developing their own activities. In Sweden´s Best IT Municipality and Sweden´s Most Modern Authority the number of applicants doubled. An open hearing of Most Modern Authority contributed to the exchange of experience not only between the nominated authorities, but for everyone who could attend the hearing. Moreover, the hearing was streamed live and attracted about 100 listeners.
Approach and implementation
VINNOVA has participated in both the nomination and the jury of the awards Sweden´s Most Modern Authority , Sweden´s Best IT Municipality and SveaPriset, and organized two seminars in the conference program. A changed approach in the award Sweden´s Most Modern Authority led to a better feedback for all authorities that applied the award, in the form of a feedback report which can be helpful in the future development .
