Purpose and goal

The purpose and objective of the application was to seek and receive funding to implement the innovation competition in Stockholm Royal Seaport by a seeking a grant of 403 600 000 SEK. The result of the call means that the project will receive the requested grant and will hence be able to implement the project as per the planned budget. This includes the price money for the winners, invested project hours and marketing.

Results and expected effects

The result of the call means that the project will receive 403 600 SEK in support to carry out the next phase of the competition. Along with internal investments, the grant received from Vinnova will result in that Student Competitions and the City of Stockholm may initiate further planning and production of competition- and marketing material, and keep to the the proposed timeline.

Approach and implementation

The outlining and planning of the application process consisted of numerous workshops between Student Competitions and the City of Stockholm, where the parties involved discussed innovation competitions, concepts, appropriate structure, budget and time schedule. By including the right people and allow open discussions, the workshops were carried out efficiently, and as a result the involved parties drew out a realistic plan for future work.
