Purpose and goal
The objective of the conference is to create a meeting place for successful production development. With over 50% of the 164 participants from industry, and a growing number of participants by 20% compared to the conference in 2014, the objective can be considered fulfilled.
Results and expected effects
The conference aims to spread knowledge about the latest in production. 2 days of intensive knowledge exchange between all the different players in the field creates an efficient dissemination of knowledge between industry and researchers.
Approach and implementation
The conference was organized by the Swedish Manufacturing R&D Clusters. The main organizers were the automotive industry in Sweden in collaboration with VINNOVA FFI Sustainable Production and Swerea AB. Cooperation took place with 3 SIO programs: Produktion2030, LIGHTer and Metallic Materials. The theme of the days were: - Wednesday, May 20: Meeting place of future production systems - Thursday, 21 May: Meeting place for future manufacturing processes New for 2015 was a poster exhibition session with match-making.
