Purpose and goal

The project has investigated how Göteborg can accelerate innovation in the mobility area by stimulating tests in real-world environments, so-called reality labs. With inspiration from international examples and dialogues with representatives from the Gothenburg innovation system, we have developed a strategy for a larger initiative in Gothenburg.

Expected results and effects

The project has - Collectively gain knowledge from ongoing reality labs systematically and create frameworks for starting and running new ones. - Built on a cloud infrastructure - Identified the key indicators that need to be implemented to reality lab with mobility - Identified the conditions required for business labs in Göteborg region - Orchestrated and coordinated activities so that more reality labs start.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been completed in two phases. During the first period, a review of reality labs in Sweden and abroad was made to better understand what one needs to take into account in order to succeed in similar matters in Gothenburg. A general strategy was developed. In the second phase of the project, key players were involved in the Gothenburg innovation system. These were met in six rounds in spring 2018. In an iterative process, a strategy was established for establishing and stimulating reality labs in the city of Gothenburg.
