Purpose and goal
The Purpose and the objectives for the project can been summarized as: ´To verify the function, market and benefits for OnTop (Online Topography) for paper and paperboard production and establish the first two reference implementations´. Through strong collaboration with our partner companies, based on previous research and dialogue with potential customers, the project has succeeded to fulfill the purpose and objectives of the project.
Results and expected effects
Function, market and benefits for OnTop (Online Surveying Meters) for paperboard and paper production has been verified through customer contacts, analytical work and by establishing two reference installations. The effect of the project is that a business is started, OnTop Measurement AB, in which the company has developed products and services based on the results obtained in the project.
Approach and implementation
The project has been implemented in four stages, where the needs of potential customers have been combined with a close dialogue with our business partners´. The close cooperation with our industrial partners has been crucial to the implementation of the industrial validation, where the technical challenges have been identified and resolved within the project. In the verification of a sustainable business plan has the close dialogue with our business partners, and in-depth interviews with potential have been important in the verification of product and service offers.
