Purpose and goal

Region Västerbotten´s (RV) deep and comprehensive knowledge of potential needs in different areas of knowledge and knowledge of existing networks for meetings between need-identifiers and entrepreneurs laid out a strong foundation for potential success. Identified and assessed needs starting from participants points of view, tested and evaluated the project´s custom action-driven innovation processes. That quickly drove the fulfillment of RVs goal of transferring prototypes to next-step pilot projects, with a clear business focus and with commercial potential.

Approach and implementation

The ´Meeting-project´ started with identified and assessed needs based on established and proven custom action-driven innovation processes. This quickly led to the fulfillment of RVs goal of prototypes that could lead to Pilot projects in the next step, projects with a clear business focus and commercial potential. The prototypes are monitored to measure effectiveness through a fine-tuning of the process. New citizen-driven identification processes was developed to anticipate and to early meet the needs of citizens and communities as well as leading to a viral attitude change
