Important results from the project
Investigate how to develop an index for companies to measure to what degree they capitalize on the business potential in customer/user diversity, when it comes to product or service development, marketing or sales processes. The index also shows each company where potential development can be applied. A future version of the Index may be used by authorities to value applications with regards to how well they incorporate customer/user diversity in their projects.
Expected long term effects
In this pre-study we have created a number of questions that are measurable, and see that there is a good basis for forming an index. We have had developing conversations with six entities in B2B, B2C and public administration, who all were positive to a continued development of the index.
Approach and implementation
The project has encompassed the development of questions, testing with companies, adjustments and analysis. Together with expertise, we developed a number of questions that highlighted problems in the focus areas. The questions were tested in a pilot study with six entities: two manufacturing companies, three service providers and one local authority. By that, we have an indication that the index is transferable between industries.
