Purpose and goal

The KLOSS-project has achieved its main objective to develop HEI´s organization and management with respect to strategic collaboration. Nine HEI´s with different academic profile, culture and tradition have worked together and developed learning about strategic collaboration. The KLOSS project has created opportunities for discussion and analysis of more comprehensive, long-term oriented issues and strengthened the legitimacy of efforts to develop strategic collaboration.

Results and expected effects

Knowledge sharing and learning has taken place in two groupings: 1) the persons directly engaged in the project, 2) a broader group of stakeholders who participated in contexts in which the project results have been presented and discussed. The latter has been done by including two major conferences, ´the Conference´ October 22, 2014 and the final conference 9 November 2015. The results are documented in the final report, which consists of a synthesis together with writings authored in the various sub-projects. www.kth.se/samverkan/kloss

Approach and implementation

The KLOSS-project has been conducted in two main tracks - 1) to create incentives and eliminate obstacles to cooperation and 2) creating arenas for cooperation. Six sub-projects have been carried out by teams composed of university boundaries led by selected project managers. The work of the six sub-projects have been conducted in groups of three to four units per subproject. A joint project office for the coordination and joint activities were established at KTH and the steering group has recurring gathered to give feedback on performance.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
