Purpose and goal

eDNA solutions AB have developed a strategy for how to handle IP in the company. The result of the project is a "roadmap" with priorities on how to handle IP-issues in the future. This roadmap will be revised continuously and be the basis for how the company will handle for example licensing, patents, trademarking and branding as well as interaction with customers and competitors.

Expected results and effects

The result of the project is that there is now a summary of the intelectual assets in the company as well a more comprehensive overview of potential competitors and collaborators. In addition to this, there is a strategy in place for how to protect the technology and knowledge of the company, with priorities and goals for the coming year. This will help the company to work with IP-related issues in a structured manner in the future.

Planned approach and implementation

Within the project, eDNA solutions AB and AWA strategy developed a plan for how to handle IP in the company. In a first meeting, the activities and technologies of the company was reviewed as well as the postion of the company in relation to relevant business scenarios and competitors. Based on this first meeting, AWA drafted an IP-strategy that was discussed and reviewed at a second meeting. AWA used the additional information from the second meeting to produce a final IP-strategy with a roadmap for the coming year. This roadmap will be continuously revised by eDNA solutions AB in the future.
