Invasive oxygen sensor for critically ill

Reference number
Coordinator NEOSENSE TECHNOLOGIES AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 450 000
Project duration June 2014 - December 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to achieve clear verification results with respect to the project´s clinical benefit, its market potential and technical functionality. During the project we have fulfilled these objectives, except fully reaching the target with respect to technical verification.

Results and expected effects

The technical verification has proceeded very well during the whole project, although some issues remain to be resolved. The effect of the interrupted funding from VFT2 means that we will continue to work on these issues with alternative funding. We estimate that within 1-3 months have solved problems that persist and are at that time ready to enter into a more formal product development.

Approach and implementation

We have largely made use of consultants in the verification project concerning issues regarding marketing, sales, and service. Even the preparation of the strategy for IPR and clinical evaluation have been carried out by consultants. The more advanced technical verification work we have conducted ourselves together with our catheters supplier.
