Important results from the project
Developing the innovative capacity of our Health and Welfare Services is vital if we are to meet the changing and increasing needs of the future. One way in which to create prerequisites for development is through more innovation-friendly remuneration models for providers of sheltered housing. The purpose of this project is to assist in the transition towards new remuneration models for the geriatric care that promote innovation and new thinking. The objective is to create a well established and developed remuneration model that can be implemented upon completion of the project.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in a draft remuneration model. It is based on research-proven correlations between working practices and innovation. The model is now so far developed that it constitutes a feasible basis for a modified remuneration model. Dissemination and documentation have taken place through, among other things, inspirational articles about the project, all of which have been in much demand. The idea behind this was to allow for long-term learning, not just within the municipality itself but also through a generous sharing of experiences with external stakeholders.
Approach and implementation
The project has been based on the project management model `Pejl´. As a result, the steering committee, reference group and delegated project owners as well as the dynamic project team and project leaders have all played a central role in the project. The steering committee has had the overall responsibility of deciding on the scope and extent of the project as well as appointing project members. The project has been implemented in collaboration with a number of stakeholders, both in and outside of the municipality.
