Important results from the project
The aim with this project is to facilitate world class education in Production through establishment of a national graduate school. Graduate School Produktion2030 has been established and 169 registered student members has been examined on 1 551,5 higher education credits from 32 graduate courses. The courses were offered from strong research environments within Production at several Swedish universities with support from additional institutes and industry.
Expected long term effects
Five courses started fall 2014, eleven during 2015, seven during 2016, and nine during 2017. Courses have been offered within all but one of Produktion2030’s areas of strength. A course within the last area of strength is planned during 2018 (in a new project). During the project old courses have been replaced by new ones to fill gaps of needs and competence.
Approach and implementation
Courses (WP3.1-2) were initiated according to plan but some were delayed in their execution. Some were delayed to enable for more participants, some to enable for complementary assignments. Administration required more resources than planned for. An additional administration role was established in 2016. More participants than planned for (such as course providers, reference group members and doctoral students) as well as course change management can explain the increase in administration.
