Reference number
Coordinator Region Skåne - Näringsliv Skåne
Funding from Vinnova SEK 390 000
Project duration April 2014 - December 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

We have conducted i) workshops, ii) industrial contacts, iii) literature surveys, and found that a future implementation project has great potential. We have also launched a new research profile with special focus on decision supportsystems for planning in healthcare. We are fully convinced that a future implementation project would be successful.

Results and expected effects

Several LOIs are signed. Additional companies have shown great interest in collaboration and we are currently working on prospects in which these companies can join. A project plan and project application for a future implementation project is a work in process and will soon be prepared. Our aim is to link the output from the KK funded profile to feed a future implementation project. Currently a PhD student is working on data generated decision support systems with a special focus on comprehensibility and healthcare.

Approach and implementation

We have also conducted a workshop with key persons from the healthcare in Region Skåne. This workshop was very successful and provided important information on future healthcare challenges related to a possible implementation project. In addition, the workshop created good foundation for future collaborations and net-working. After this planning project, we are now convinced that a future implementation project will succeed. We have created good foundation to such project.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
