Purpose and goal

Innovation Loop, is an open structured, replicable platform for knowledge production and co-creational innovation, easy to adapt to both national and international regions, communities and organizations. Innovation loop is theme-driven with an annual theme and cycle, action-oriented and citizen-driven with recurring fixed and temporally and geographically mobile venues for co-creational public-private innovation. The aim is to take innovative ideas into prototypes to the market/society - services, products and processes. Purpose and objective well met.

Results and expected effects

20+ (an IV 27/10) IV-concept, UV - 6 prototypes: STEP, Digital Health, Resource Exchange, Matchin, Social incl, Elwin and FördELa, Smart soc, Circular Areas, Circ econ Applications: STEP & Matchin - Venture Cup, AirShare/Matchin Vinnova call ´Innovation för säkrare migration och etablering av nyanlända´ Interreg Europe-OSIRIS based on the Loop: Reg Västerbotten coordinator, partners, regions in Finland, Slovakia, Italy, Portugal, Holland. Another 20 regions interested. The Loop repr at 2015 Sustainable Cleveland Summit establishing experience exchange and interaction.

Approach and implementation

Theme 2015 Borderless meetings. 4 Idea workshops conducted Circular economy, Ostersund, Smart communities, Skelleftea, Digital Health and Social Inclusion, Umeå and Tourism from 2010 and forward, Vasa October 27th. Prototyping Workshops-Maker´s Lab at Meeting Point Lycksele 2 to 4 June. Enterprise Workshops June to Sept. The workshops were action-oriented and co-creational with age, skills and background - mixed groups. Continuous feedback leads to an improved process 2016 for the stage: Prototypes to market/society.
