Important results from the project
The goal according to the application has been to develop a unique simulator for automated and individual-based automated simulator training for professional drivers. This has largely been achieved.
Expected long term effects
The result in the form of technology development has largely been met. The result in the form of a strengthened position on the market cannot be directly measured, but through our competitor´s analysis we know that no competitor has a similar system of the same caliber. The result in the form of the potential to win businesses remains to be seen, but at visits and in discussions with customers and teachers at schools for professional drivers, the reaction to the new scoring system has been very positive.
Approach and implementation
The cooperation between Tenstar and Chalmers has given the project a good foundation in research on user interfaces, education, and human factors. The development project has been given high priority internally Tenstar, and despite the relatively short project time, the objectives have largely been achieved. Challenges have been to establish cooperation between the relatively small and startup business and a major university, and to anticipate the calendar time required for foundation work before the actual product development can begin.
