Purpose and goal
The project is concerned with one of the largest challenges for the health care and social services sectors, namely to organise care so that ageing patients with complex illnesses recieves better coordinated care and to design an organisation that handles overcrowding and queues in a more efficient way. Both problems are indicators of the same basic flaws. There is vast knowledge in these areas developed in industry and trade companies. This knowledge is however scarce in the health care sector, there is also a lack of IT-systems designed to support processes orientation and planning.
