Project duration November 2021 - October 2022
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project has been to increase the possibilities and attractiveness of getting to nature areas and hiking trails by public transport. The aim has been to develop an implementation-ready and tested interactive service that connects nature areas and hiking trails with existing public transport options. The goal has been fulfilled by a tested version being developed in the project for Skåne´s hiking trails and public transport and launched to the public with a good rating. Discussions are now being held with several regions that have shown interest.

Expected results and effects

In the project, an implementation-ready and tested interactive service has been developed that connects nature areas and hiking trails with existing public transport in Skåne with the aim of giving more people the opportunity to get out into nature and reduce traveling by car. During the summer, the public tested the tool and gave it a very good rating. At the webinar held about the tool in September, many regions participated and there was great interest. Discussions are now being held with several regions that have shown interest in having it adapted for their regions

Planned approach and implementation

Before the project there was a prototype for the tool. The project began with an internal focus group to develop a first, more user-friendly version to be tested in an external test group. Tests were initially carried out by having those who were part of the group individually test the tool and at the same time think loud in front of the evaluator. With the results of this as a basis, further development was made and then further tests etc. In the summer of 2022, the tool was launched to the public, who were allowed to give further feedback, after which some further revision was made.
