Purpose and goal
The project aims to take advantage of the great international interest for Swedish solutions aimed at our aging population and the export opportunities that this presents. The overall project objective is to develop the Swedish offer in the area of healthy aging, where the Swedish public side and research are represented, linked to identified challenges and innovative practical solutions, products and services that Swedish companies can offer. In addition this, to develop a structure for strategic promotion work, set up a network of companies and carry out two promotion activities.
Expected results and effects
A good basis for promotion work in the elderly area is developed, with increased competence and contacts for Swecare to build on. The project has resulted in presentations for incoming delegations, a structure for the promotion activities abroad, a delegation trip to China and a loose network of about 50 companies. The basis for a more extensive promotional material is developed but not completed due to the project being terminated prematurely. In addition, a number of contacts and business opportunities between Swedish companies and foreign players have been developed.
Planned approach and implementation
The project was carried out 2015-16 with a part time project manager and with some delay in the implementation. The first year was devoted to collection of information and contacts with authorities, experts and companies. A presentation of Swedish elderly care and solutions was developed. The basis for a comprehensive material exists but could not be completed before the project was terminated in Nov 2016. The project was presented and a network of Swedish companies and stakeholders was formed in spring 2016. In autumn the delegation trip to China was prepared and the network maintained.
