Purpose and goal
1. Faster and more accurate troubleshooting, which indirectly leads to safer vehicles, causing less pollution, more efficient use of the vehicle fleet, and higher customer satisfaction. 2. Strengthened International Competitive force. 3. Influence the proportion of connected vehicles. 4. Increase the attractiveness of fordononsindustrin. 5. Increased knowledge in the field.
Results and expected effects
1. Since part of the technology within the project have already been implemented for production we are now beginning to see the positive effects on troubleshooting. And the project has been granted a follow-up project. 2. Scania is at the forefront in the field of remote diagnosis and that there is a roadmap internally in the direction demonstrated in this project. 3. 100% of the vehicles Scania sells in Europe are today connected. 4. This project has helped to realize the vision of connected vehicles. 5. The results have been published in theses and international scientific publications.
Approach and implementation
The project has been working in parallel with scientific research and implementation of research results in the demonstrator. Both activities have also involved essentially the same persons. This approach has contributed to that the research becomes industrially relevant and has the opportunity to become realized.
