Project duration November 2012 - May 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose and goal of the project was to develop a prototype of a knowledge comparison app, test this globally and get feedback from users, potential customers and investors. Another goal was to give our youth an intense Silicon Valley experience. We met all these goals in the project and managed to attract a couple of the first customers of the app that challenges conducted in summer 2013.

Results and expected effects

The expected impact of the project was to make a market test of the app and get feedback to the next step to commercialize this. The result was as expected, with a few minor exceptions: we discovered, for example, it will require a more efficient method of creating knowledge questions than we previously thought. In addition, requirements for user experience was far greater than planned, so we will put a lot of energy on improving the user experience for the alpha version we are now developing

Approach and implementation

The design of the project was fairly straightforward: we developed a plan at the beginning of the project and kept us pretty close to the plan. It took a little longer than expected to develop the app itself, which meant that we had to postpone the trip to the U.S. in May, instead of in February as we first thought. Otherwise went mostly according to plan, our youth were involved through all stages and contributed much at all stages: from design, through development to commercialization, and was featured on customer and investor meetings in Sweden and New York.
