Important results from the project
MatGlad e-school has had the goal and purpose of creating a platform for learning about the app MatGlad´s opportunities for staff working in the care sector about food, nutrition, meals and recipes. Hushållningssällskapet Väst has produced MatGlad e-school, comprising two workbooks and a web-based education to create good meals and improved health for people with intellectually disabilities. MatGlad e-school has been completed in 2016-2017. During 2018, marketing of the material will take place.
Expected long term effects
MatGlad provides inspiration for food and meals, food choices and cooking. Personnel who are working with people with intellectual disabilities have requested a tool for food and health education and now it is available through Matglad e-school. In 2018, marketing of MatGlad e-school will take place. After that, Hushållningssällskapet Väst can tell how many of the municipalities in the country who is using the material. In Borås, where they used and tested Matglad e-school, the staff can see that the commitment to food and meals has increased and that more food is cooked.
