Purpose and goal
FUTROLL is a project to develop a new roll forming technology to manufacture 3D roll formed automotive parts through improvement of finite element models, material models and friction models. A complete demonstration manufacturing line will be manufactured and automotive parts produced.
Expected results and effects
The project resulted in a production line for automotive prototype profiles. It is expected that this will help the market understand this new technology and its benefits due the the flexibility.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is based on strategic work and planning. Conceptual studies were made before the machines were built to maximize the performance of the technology.
