Purpose and goal

The project has made it possible to produce a digital math teaching tool, which in school testing has fulfilled its intended goals to: + illustrates the number system´s function and use in a way similar to one teacher - one student. + be scalable and self-instructive, as well as adjustable as to level and individual.

Expected results and effects

Over 10,000 Math Bakery apps have been accessed from the App store in Sweden, and a hundred or so from Finland, Norway and Denmark. Of these, over 5,000 to schools in the form of class configurations. Teachers often emphasize Math Bakery methodology and that they get a tool for evaluating students´ progress.

Planned approach and implementation

Within the project´s parameters, four alfa versions/apps have been produced and tested in the school environment: 1) addition/subtraction, 2) addition/subtraction with positioning, 3) multiplication/division, and 4) fractions. Apps 1) and 2) are available in Sweden and internationally. 3) and 4) will be introduced during Spring 2017.
