Purpose and goal

The goal of the webinar series was to inspire key people to start using the design process and design thinking to develop their services to better meet the real needs. The target audience is primarily managers and persons with operational responsibility in government agencies, nonprofit organizations and local government and in business. We also believe that elected officials and employees could be interested.

Results and expected effects

All eight webinars was conducted as planned. At the least, we have had 113 viewers and at the most 907. We have had a total of 2,517 viewers in live broadcasting and a total of 3,376 ´views´ to date. In total, the series has been evaluated by 279 persons / times (excluding the last episode). Of these, 39 comes from municipalities and 78 from a county. The others come mostly from SMEs and universities. Of the 279 respondents 256 think their webinar has been very or quite interesting, 263 of the respondents have or would like to recommend the series to others and 135 might start using design.

Approach and implementation

An important aspect to be able to reach our target groups was that the series was conducted in collaboration with VINNOVA, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and the Innovation Council. The webinars started with a 20-30 minute lecture followed by a question and answer session. Each session was broadcasted live on the Internet and was recorded simultaneously to be made available after the event. There was an opportunity to ask questions via Twitter. The whole event must be considered a success - number of viewers and evaluations presented in appendices.
