Important results from the project
In the course of this project SiteVision has been extended with new features to publish descriptions of data sources according to the DCAT-AP standard. A case study in cooperation with the Swedish Tax Agency is in progress.
Expected long term effects
SiteVision AB has extended SiteVision 4 with built in support for easily describing open data according to the DCAT-AP standard. This will make it significantly easier for SiteVision AB´s customers to publish open data. In the course of this project SiteVision AB has also raised awareness about DCAT-AP and open data on several occasions, such as SiteVisiondagarna (more than 400 participants) and Webbdagarna Offentlig Sektor. Approach and implementation
SiteVision AB has, in cooperation with MetaSolutions AB, developed the functionality to publish descriptions of data sources according to DCAT-AP in SiteVision. An integration of the product MetaSolutions DCAT-AP manager has been made to provide input and update of data. Of great importance has been to get the integration as seamless as possible so that the user interface will be perceived congruent with the SiteVision user interface guidelines. An ongoing case study with the Swedish Tax Agency will further assure the quality and improve DCAT-AP functionality in SiteVision.
