Purpose and goal
In the project three cooperative vehicles (two trucks, one car) are developed that is used to demonstrate the cooperative platooning. The vehicles are being developed as a continuation of the project CoACT where project team members competed in the GCDC (2011). The functionality of the demonstrator to be extended to include lateral movements, such as to allow vehicles to connect to a column from an adjacent file. Like GCDC 2011, these vehicles are automated in the longitudinal direction but manually controlled in the lateral direction.
