Reference number
Coordinator NEEDSDRIVE AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 800 000
Project duration November 2013 - August 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim of Creative Hub is to add a process-based tool to existing recruitment processes that can lead young people into the labor market. It is a big challenge in matching young people only using documents from school, experience and references with additional interviews. When people take a challenge and the group follow a creative process, it provides excellent opportunities to identify each individual´s abilities and strengths. The process design is completed and the project is presently focus on developing new business models.

Results and expected effects

The result is a new service that can be used not only to young people but all that needs to be matched to a team. Process and profile is currently being developed further with actors in the market and with a follow-up research team that aim to validate the service. The hope is that the service can be scaled up and used by actors´ supporting young peoples entry into the labor market. It would also be a valuable tool for recruitment agencies and HR. The result will be a better match to different teams and workgroups.

Approach and implementation

Creative Hub was initially linked to the job coaches supported by Arbetsförmedlingen (National Employment Service). They could do recruitment to workshops and follow-up of participants. When job coaches were cancelled it limited the opportunity to get dynamic teams with great variety. The process should be free from labor market support activities and instead build on examples of success and target both students and job seekers. The process can usefully supplement to the toolbox of Drivhuset, and be offered by incubators and Science Parks as well as be part of recruitment processes.
