Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to increase pupils lust for learning, connect theory and reality, more ´hooks´ for attaching knowledge, increased pride/participation, higher grades and conditions for making conscious choices unregarding sex or cultural/social background. Achievements We have made a platform for fulfilling the aim oft the project. The tools are in place. The process is anchored in- and decided by- the school management, with involvement from groups of teachers. A cooperation with the neighbour town- Leksand- is established. Good conditions for continous progress!

Expected results and effects

A working plan for cooperation school-working life has been approved by the school management New cooperation between the local business development office and primary school Study and careers advicer is integrated, from class F-9 Classes have visited companies, in connection to current subjects The compulsory school for children with intellectual disabilities has participated in the project Innovated practical occupational experience with better connections between school subjects and workplaces. The goals are not reached, but it is a solid foundation for future development

Planned approach and implementation

Study and careers advicer at Upper school has lead the project in cooperation with a working group of teachers from all schools. In the steering group we have school management, politicians and business development office. Study and careers advicer/teachers have developed a ´working plan for cooperation school-working life´, that has been tested at all schools. A new plan for practical occupational experience has been developed in cooperation with business organisations. All goals are not reached. This is due to exchange of project leader and repeated changes in school management.
