Important results from the project
Our goal is to investigate and identify target groups in order to best create strategies for those target groups. Also to focus on internationalization through business trips to the US to meet with customers, partners, schools, organizations and to become familiar with a foreign audience. Lessons from the activities used to launch Code Quest, iPad app to teach children to program.
Expected long term effects
The result gave us increased understanding of target groups (parents, children, schools) and its differences from the Swedish / European market to the US market. Results after completed activities gave us great insight into how to market to different geographical markets and audiences. We found that children in the US market needs a bigger reward system, less text and more instructions. We will make use of all this information for the development of the first app, future products and marketing.
Approach and implementation
Activities were carried out on time and gave both unexpected results and anticipated results based on hypotheses on both local (Swedish) and international level. Field studies, focus groups, and digital investigations to identify target groups gave us a good insight to the target audience.
