Purpose and goal
Uppsala BIO was the life science cluster representing Sweden in this trip. Several good contacts with a handful of cluster organizations with focus on Life Sceince in Japan was taken.
Results and expected effects
The trip included a visit to Pharma Valley with the adjacent cancer hospital. Both the cluster organization and the hospital has many projects and activities that are relevant for further discussions around cooperation. Personal meetings with our Japanese contacts Bio-Business Navigator was fruitful and and a follow-up appointment is scheduled in Sweden in early November. Cluster seminar workshop at Swedish amabassaden gave contacts with three Japanese clusters and further discussions are held.
Approach and implementation
Traveling to Tokyo, Japan to meet and make connections with Cluster organizations for further cooperation in the Life Sceince sector. The trip included a visit to Pharma Valley with adjacent cancer hospital. Personal meeting with Bio-Business Navigator was conducted with positive results. Cluster seminar workshop at Swedish amabassaden was an incredible opportunity to meet with several other clusters within life science.
