Purpose and goal

At Skellefteå Lärcentra we do not educate students as usual. Here they get to experience knowledge. We practice theoretical and practical elements in care and healthcare. Central is the treatment and communication. We develop our teamwork through interprofessional learning and create understanding across professional boundaries. In our own pedagogical workshop we become confident in the management of welfare technology and broaden our perspectives through interesting lectures and meetings. After training, students get to test their new skills during the internship with us.

Expected results and effects

The project has laid the foundation for how clinical education will be conducted in the future for the best possible knowledge development among students through interprofessional learning. Conditions that ensure good teamwork around the individual and continuous knowledge development have been created. As achievements made under the project in the future also can be applied to existing activities and to permanently employed staff, the project will have a significantly greater benefit than originally intended for the project.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been carried out with good management of the health care management team with outstanding roots in the business. The management team has defined delivery objects and the project team has made operational decisions according to the framework of the plan and budget. Since the project has been characterized by trust, the right decision has been made quickly at the right level. The project has been imbued with cooperation and creation together. The project team has included representatives from all professions, student coordinators, student supervisors and educators.
