The project has created a digital platform, and developed methods for participation, which have been tested and well received by the city districts and user testers from underrepresented groups with whom we have worked throughout the process.

The result is a digital citizen platform, a directory of methods and tools, interviews and reports and a methodology for designing inclusive participatory processes, that we will be able to implement together with future partners in municipalities, schools and housing companies. In the next step we will be able to give workshops and trainings in designing participatory processes for social inclusion, and offer installation and training in the digital platform, to further enhance participation in municipal processes, something that our partners have requested.

Planned approach and implementation

The digital platform, and the methods for participation to be used with it, were developed in close cooperation with four city districts in Gothenburg and Stockholm. We also conducted user testing with 25 people from the target group of young people, women and immigrants, and developed the platform further based on the result. At last, we documented the participatory budget of the city of Paris and documented their methods for social inclusion.
