Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to enable decisions on optimal lifetime and maintenance using both physically based and data-driven AI algorithms. The project has the following goals, which are related to two case studies of mobile mining machines: - Investigation of current maintenance strategies and plans and identification of critical components - Implement a customized IIo T system for data management - Describe the impact of the driving style on the remaining useful life (RUL) - Create a decision support tool for the optimal lifetime of critical components.

Expected results and effects

The main expected result will be a decision support tool that can suggest the best combination of possible maintenance actions to achieve the optimum lifetime of mobile mining machines.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of four work packages: 1. Project coordination and dissemination. Objectives: Ensure project objectives and disseminate project result. 2. Case study and data management. Objective: Describe case studies, maintenance, and implement framework for IIoT-based industrial data 3. Data analytics and modeling. Objective: Develop models for remaining life, reliability, production efficiency and life cycle cost. 4. Optimization and development of decision support tool. Objective: Build a decision support tool for life extension optimization.
