Coordinator CAPILLARY CONCRETE AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 200 000
Project duration March 2016 - September 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim was to test the CC material in a test environment before coming to build material in the form of a test bed at Axevalla. We have wanted to test whether CC-material works just as effectively on the riding grounds that the golbanebunkrar. As for the buffering and draining effect that proves to CC material better than today´s most common in buildings in riding arenas.

Expected results and effects

CC wants to be involved in developing and commercializing the best possible underpinnings for riding tracks by making tests in lab scale which will then be implemented in full scale. The methods chosen for this showed that it is possible.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been divided in three steps Tests in order to evaluate the characteristics of several build techniques of horse ground profiles. Several parameters will be evaluated and describes the profiles buffering capability of moisture and how the materials appear during a drop test. Three different ground profiles and top sand were used in the tests. CC showed a good buffering and drainage capacity and for the drop test the ground profiles showed similar result.
